Sounds for the Soul

The other day I heard a tune
I can't get off my mind,
The words they touched my very soul
To a depth I can't define.

I felt each chord down deep within
The rhythm made me sway,
The pleasing sounds of instruments
Were enough to make me stay.

The tune stayed with me through the day
To forget it I would try,
The fact it was so beautiful
Almost made me want to cry.

The ability to make such sounds
Is a gift that should be shared,
As payment for the time put in
No effort should be spared.

The other day I heard a tune
The message now quite clear,
The very sounds that touched my soul
Were sent for me to hear......
