Although it happened long ago
I'd felt it from the start,
The feelings when I saw you
They came right from the heart.

I knew we'd been together
Of this fact I am sure,
As for what I'm going through this time
I'm afraid there is no cure.

Memories seem to come and go
But this one, it's for real,
For this one's caused a change in me
And it's affecting how I feel.

Although you're many miles away
In my heart you're near,
And if I really used my mind
I'd enable you to hear.

You are a special friend to me
Even living where you are,
According to my beating heart
You really are my star....
