Only two of these three words can apply to any given establishment. Places that serve fast food are not restaurants, they're fast food "joints". Fast restaurants are not serving food, they're serving microwave-defrosted mostly synthetic food-process byproducts. A real restaurant that serves real food is not fast. In fact, it is usually quite slow.
